Abstract
education and explores the coping strategies they adopt to manage stress and maintain
mental well-being. Marginalized students, including those from low-income backgrounds,
minority groups, and first-generation learners, often face additional challenges such as
financial constraints, limited access to resources, and social exclusion, which intensify
academic stress. The study is based on a qualitative analysis of secondary data collected
from existing research articles and reports. The findings reveal that academic pressure
significantly affects the mental health and academic performance of marginalized students,
leading to increased levels of anxiety and emotional distress. While some students adopt
adaptive coping strategies such as seeking social support and problem-solving, others rely
on maladaptive strategies due to limited access to institutional support systems. The study
also highlights the role of resilience in helping students cope with academic challenges. It
concludes that there is a need for inclusive policies, accessible mental health services, and
targeted interventions to support marginalized students and improve their overall wellbeing
and academic success.
